Fat loss tip – Close your window

Here is a weird little fat loss tip for you…

Close your window.

What the???

 Close your eating window a little bit. ( of course )

Example

If you normally start eating at 7am and stop eating / drinking at 10pm, that’s a huge window of opportunity to (possibly) over eat .

By closing your eating window just a little bit, you give yourself less opportunity to over do things ( just don’t stuff the same amount of food / drinks into your smaller window )

Why not try starting your eating / drinking time a little later  and / or finish it a little earlier? (Do which ever one feels easier for you)

Please know – There is NO magic in the time period. Shortening your eating window is a TECHNIQUE that might help you avoid over eating. How much you eat over the day and the week is still what counts.

  • If this technique helps you eat LESS, then its a winner for you. Yay.
  • If this technique results in you eating the SAME amount, because you stuff all the same foods / drinks into a smaller time frame, then its probably not worth trying.
  • If this technique results in you eating MORE, because you feel a sense of deprivation, or you are looking for a loophole, then its not the right technique for you.

Example

  • Susan needs to eat 2000 calories to maintain her weight
  • She has been over eating recently. 2500 cals each day to be exact.
  • As a result, Susan has gained weight
  • Susan often sits down to 500 calories of chocolate biscuits and hot chocolate at 8.30pm
  • Susan decides to end her eating window at 7.30pm in the hopes of stopping her weight gain
  • This cuts out the extra 500 calories of bikkies and therefore halts her weight gain (Yay)
  • However, if Susan compensated by eating 500 calories of bikkies earlier at 7.30pm, she would still gain weight.
  • There is NO magic in the time frame
  • The shorter eating window is only a TOOL that may help Susan (or you) to avoid over eating
