As a fat loss coach, one of the most common questions I get asked is….
“What can I eat for snacks?”
Here are 10 quick , easy and healthy snacks
- to tide you over until your next meal
- provide you with lots of nutrients
- low in calories
- wont spike (then crash) your blood sugar.
- that don’t contain 17+ ingredients
- that don’t need too much cooking or preparation

1. Boiled egg.
The perfect food as far as I am concerned. You can boil 3 or 4 at a time and keep them in the fridge. Mark the boiled eggs with an X, so you don’t confuse the raw ones
2. Tin of Tuna
Keep some plastic cutlery in your car or office drawer for this filling, anytime snack
3. Yoghurt and berries (fancy glass optional)
Make sure you check the label and choose a yoghurt that is low in sugar.
4. Cut up vegetable sticks with low fat ricotta dip, seasoned with taco powder
Or see the fancier version here – My healthy Mexican dip recipe
5. 2 Cruskits with ham or boiled egg and salad
–
6. Premade vegetable frittata
Grate up any vegetable you like, add 1 egg per serve, mix together in a baking tray, top with a small amount of diced ham and low fat grated cheese, bake until golden. It can be eaten hot or cold.

7. Packet or tinned soups
Choose one that is not too high in carbohydrates and also contains some protein and fibre,
8. Apple and cheese
An apple on its own does not fill me up, but by adding some protein and fat in the form of my favourite cheese I stay full for longer.
9.Protein bar – – I like Aussie bodies
** real food is always preferred. Please keep these limited to once or twice a week
10. Milk based coffee with Natvia sweetener or hot chocolate with Natvia drinking chocolate
Yes, if there is a lot of milk in your coffee, you can class it as a snack.
Hot drinks fill me more than cold drinks. It might be all in my mind, but that doesn’t really matter, it works for me.
