Meet Rose,
As you can see in her before pic – Rose is not what you would consider overweight. In actual fact, many people told her she was crazy for starting a fat loss coaching program.

“You don’t need to lose any weight Rosie” her friends told her.
We all know that it doesn’t matter what other people say or think. Rose felt uncomfortable in herself. She knew that she wanted to lose a little bit around the middle. She wanted to feel healthier and more energetic.
Rose ate a lot of refined carbohydrates and sugar. She regularly experienced cravings for those foods and she was tired a lot of the time.

Rose did my fat loss coaching program…
Guess how much weight Rose lost in the first 4 weeks?
NOTHING..
Well not entirely nothing, but not much. A kilo or so but nothing Rose got very excited about.
However, even though the weight wasn’t coming off like Rose had hoped, she was balancing her blood sugar levels and changing her body to become more insulin sensitive.
Rose trusted me and stuck with the program. From week’s 6 to week 9, the weight came off easily, even though she hadn’t changed her plan.

Even though she didn’t realise it,
Rose had gone from being insulin resistant to insulin sensitive.

Think of the line from being insulin sensitive —- to —- insulin resistant as a continuum.
When we are further down the scale towards being insulin sensitive, we burn fat easily, storing fat is more difficult, hunger, cravings and energy levels are all managed better too.
When we are further up the scale towards insulin resistance, we store fat easily – particularly around our mid section , burning fat is difficult, we experience hunger, cravings and low energy levels.

By week 9…
Rose lost 6 kg’s and 10cm from her waist and has now stayed at that weight for years.
