Are you confused about food, fitness, health and weight loss?
Are you on any form of social media?
Scrolling through social media can be a minefield for anyone trying to lose weight and get healthy. There are so many conflicting and confusing messages. Its enough to drive a sane person crazy.
A lot of the sensational headlines were driving me so crazy that I wanted to scream into my computer screen. I wrote this little rant instead.
15 things that you DON’T need to do to lose weight and be healthy.
You don’t need to…
- Eat clean

- Eat 5 – 6 small meals per day
- Prepare every meal in little Tupperware containers and keep them with you at all times
- Quit sugar
- Quit any food or food group
- Go low carb
- Exercise every day
- Exercise so hard that it feels awful
- Drink green smoothies
- Take supplements
- Use protein powder
- Go Paleo
- Eat vegetarian
- Use meal replacement shakes

This list doesn’t mean that you can’t do some of these things if you WANT to and if they suit you and your lifestyle.
But, please know that you don’t HAVE to do any of them in order to lose weight and be healthy.

So, what do you need to do to lose weight and be healthy?
- Use up more calories than you consume (technical term is a calorie deficit). This is how all weight loss works
