Mandy really wanted to lose weight, get fit, tone up and feel great again.  

She was so sick and tired of feeling fat, frumpy and tired.

Mandy would wake up each day, full of resolve and determination.

“Today I am going to be good.  Today is going to be the day that I start my new life”.

However by the end of the day, she was stressed, tired and sad.

Mandy would give in and end up on the lounge with a glass of wine (or 4) and a block of chocolate.

Mandy was stuck in a “1 step forward and 2 steps back” cycle.

Mandy hated her body and her life.

Mandy had had ENOUGH !!

I asked Mandy how she treated her body now…

  • Did she lovingly care for it?
  • Did she give it the very best nutrition available?
  • Did she regularly exercise her body because it deserved to be treated well?
  • Was she happy and grateful for her body?
  • Did she look after it like it was something of great value? (which it is)

Mandy looked at me like I was crazy…

She said there was no point looking after this fat, frumpy, tired, rundown body that she hated.

THIS body doesn’t deserve the best.

THIS body doesn’t deserve gratitude

THIS body is disgusting and should be punished.

Mandy said she would look after her body once she was happy with it. Once it lived up to her expectations.

Mandy was getting it all wrong.

Mandy thinks she needs to HAVE the body, then she will DO the actions, then she will BE happy, fit and grateful.

 

It doesn’t work this way Mandy.

Mandy needs to BE the person who looks after her body and treats it with respect (even if it just starts internally. Even if its all in her mind and her thoughts. That is after all, where everything starts)

Then she will DO the actions that a person who loves her body will DO.

Only then will Mandy HAVE the body that she desires.

It always works this way. Its the magic formula.
