[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]After more than 20 years in the health and fitness industry, I have seen a LOT of trends (and fads) come and go.
These are my hopes and wishes (not really predictions) for where health and fitness trends might head in 2017.

—
Following set meal plans will be out
Learning to create your own individual meal plan that includes foods and flavors you love will be IN
—
—
Doing the “perfect” strict structured exercise plan = OUT
Exercising in a way that lights you up = IN
—
—
More emphasis on daily movement ( not sitting so much ) because it feels good
Less emphasis on measuring and tracking it all (unless that feels good to you, then by all means do that)
—
—
More emphasis on starting from the inside out, through thoughts and identity beliefs.
I believe that am a fit healthy person >>
Leads to taking the actions that a fit healthy person would take >>
Gets results of a fit healthy person
—
—
Less emphasis on following the perfect plan
More emphasis on finding out why you sabotage yourself in the first place
(Confront the things you are avoiding )
—
—
Less emphasis on how your body looks
More emphasis on how it feels and what it can do
—
—
Less emphasis on being as fit and healthy as physically possible just for the sake of it
More emphasis on getting fit and healthy so you can lead a full and awesome life
—
—
Less rule following
More self trust and asking the question “How’s this work for me?‘
—
—
Less labeling the way you eat
More eating the way your body responds well to
—
—
Less worry and concern about what others are doing, eating or achieving.
More self awareness
—
—
The end of the following terms
Clean eating
Superfoods
Detox
—
As previously stated these are not really what I think will happen, but what I would really love to see.
I would love to hear your thoughts. What are your predictions ( or wishes ).
