Mel is a personal trainer. And NO, that does not make her super human or without faults, like many people can sometimes assume.
I can certainly attest to us PT’s being less than perfect.
Anyway, Mel’s goal was to lose about 8kgs or so.
Mel was using the OLD model for fat loss
ie – Eat less and exercise more.
What happens when we take this approach is that the body fights back with HUNGER, CRAVINGS and LOW ENERGY.
These are very strong urges to over come and willpower can only get you so far before you give in (usually)
Mel also suffered from an “All or Nothing” mentality.
She would either be completely ON track or completely OFF track. I know lot’s of people can relate to this.
Mel set me a challenge that I could NOT help her lose the weight. She thought she had tried it all.
